New features in Provize® Suite
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Explorer - Show secure boot status. The show secure boot status function lets you see and reboot devices that allow the secure boot function.
- Explorer - Export topology to Provize Planner. This function lets you export a topology from Provize Explorer to Provize Planner.
- Explorer - Select planned device for configuration upload. The select planned device function displays configurations of devices you planned in Provize® Planner and lets you upload them in Provize® Explorer.
- Explorer - Reboot device. The reboot device function lets you reboot a discovered HiOS or HiEOS device.
- Explorer - Allow unsigned firmware. This function allows you to upload unsigned firmware versions.
- Planner - MRP sub-ring. The MRP sub-ring function lets you select a group of devices which form a ring topology, so that you can add the selected devices as a sub-ring to an existing MRP ring and configure the devices.

- Planner - Planning the network with BRS and GRS. The function lets you assign a product code to a BRS and GRS device in the network to enjoy device-specific properties in the network planning.

- Explorer - Upload CLI script. The CLI script function lets you upload a CLI script to set up a discovered HiOS device.
- Explorer - Firmware upgrade. The firmware upgrade function lets you upload a firmware file to upgrade the firmware of a discovered HiOS or HiEOS device.
- Explorer - Multiple IPv4 assignment. The IPv4 button lets you assign IPv4 addresses to multiple devices.
- Planner - IPv4 and VLAN configurations have now been merged into the Subnet configuration. The subnet configuration function lets you simultaneously configure multiple devices belonging to the same subnet.
- Explorer - Provize Classic WebView. You can open web interfaces for classic devices directly from Provize Explorer, for configuration purposes.

New features in Provize® Suite
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Explorer - Accept all certificates. The Accept all certificates button lets you accept every self-signed certificate used in an encrypted HTTPs connection.
- Suite - Provize® Suite offline. You can use Provize® Suite offline. However, some features are not available when you use Provize® Suite offline.
- Planner - CLI template tab (optional). The CLI template tab contains 2 additional tabs. The Template tab and the Template stack tab. The
Template tab lets you set up CLI templates to upload to your network devices. The Template stack tab lets you combine the CLI templates into a stack..
- Suite - Provize® Suite language updates. Provize® Suite offers language updates for the German language following the initial release.
- Explorer - Clear table button. The clear table button removes every discovered device in the discovered devices table.
- Planner - Extended Bill of Material (BoM) specifications. Two new columns were added to the BoM file: the Position column and the CLI Template stack column.
The Position column lets the user refer to a line in the BoM file when communicating information. The CLI Template stack column identifies which templates are uploaded on the device.

New features in Provize® Suite
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Explorer - Commission ProSoft devices. Provize® Explorer now scans and discovers ProSoft devices.
- Suite - Automatic update. The automatic update function helps you check for software updates.
- Explorer - Save configuration. The save configuration function lets you save the changes you made for HiOS and HiEOS devices displayed in the discovered devices list.
- Explorer - Ping devices. The ping function lets you troubleshoot the accessibility of devices displayed in the discovered devices list.
- Explorer - Reload single device. The reload single device button lets you reload individual devices displayed in discovered devices list.
- Suite - Send feedback through an email client. The feedback function lets you send your comments to Belden through email.
- Explorer - MultiConfig initial password change. The initial password button lets you change the default password for multiple devices during the initial configuration of the devices.
- Planner - Port planning. The port planning function lets the user assign port numbers at both ends of a link.

New features in Provize® Suite
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Explorer - Export IPv4 list for Industrial HiVision. The Export IPv4 list button opens a dialog where you can export an IPv4 list to import into Industrial HiVision.
- Explorer - Manually open web applet. The Open web applet button opens a dialog where you can manually enter a valid IP address for the device you want to set up, without discovering the device.
- Suite - Application switcher and management bar. The Application switcher and management bar lets you switch between Provize® Explorer and Provize® Planner.
- Explorer - Rework table and Next Recommended Action column. The Discovered devices list table has been reworked. Several columns have been removed and a Next recommended action column has been added. This column displays the Next recommended action for the device configuration.
- Explorer - Retain device and show reachability. Provize® Explorer updates the Discovered devices list with every new scan and keeps the devices found in previous scans. The Discovered Devices column displays a blue mark next to the newly discovered devices. After you click on the device, the blue mark is no longer displayed.
- Explorer - No-license usage of Provize® Explorer. You can use Provize® Explorer without a license. When you use Provize® Explorer without a license, you cannot switch to Provize® Planner.
- Planner - L2 Redundancy (MRP). The Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) is compatible with redundant ring coupling, supports VLANs, and is distinguished by very short reconfiguration times.
Version 01.3.00
This is the first release of Provize® Explorer, a commissioning tool, which has been added to the Provize® Planner to make up the Provize® Suite. Before
you uninstall the Provize® Planner version 01.2.00, note the comments in the "Additions to the manual" section.
NOTE: If you have installed Provize® Planner, then uninstall it before you install the Provize® Suite. Due to a feature upgrade, there is a limitation to importing old project files from Provize® Planner 01.2.00 to Provize® Suite 01.3.00. To avoid potential issues, check that there are no duplicated IP addresses, different Gateways, or an IP prefix lower than 5 before when opening a .PPP file created with Provize® Planner 01.2.00 with Provize® Planner 01.3.00.
New features in Provize® Planner
You can find the following new features in this version.
- IPv4 Management: A new tab has been added to the Provize® Planner to let you configure the IPv4 settings.
- Reshape a Connection: In the Topology tab, there is a new function that lets you display the cable runs and label the links. You can also add a floor plan to the canvas. This lets you reshape and move the links to represent where the cable runs are located.
- Offline Licensing: The Offline Licensing function lets you activate Provize® Planner on devices without Internet access.
New features in Provize® Explorer
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Open Web Interface: In the Discovered Devices> Device Details bar, the Open Web Interface function lets you open the web interface of a device with a valid IPv4 address.
- IPv4 Address: In the Discovered Devices> Device Details bar, the IPv4 address function lets you assign the IPv4 parameters of a device manually.
- Configure Initial Password: In the Discovered Devices> Device Details bar, there is a new Initial Password function that lets you change the default password of a device, during the initial configuration.
- Device Properties: In the Discovered Devices> Device Details bar, there are new Device Properties fields that let you edit the name, location, and contact of a device.
- HiDiscovery Mode: In the Discovered Devices> Device Details bar, there is a new HiDiscovery Mode function that lets you select the HiDiscovery Mode.
- Offline Licensing: The Offline Licensing function lets you activate Provize® Explorer on devices without Internet access.

New features in Provize® Planner
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Licensing: Provize® Planner offers 2 licenses for this release. A free license,
and a premium license. The premium license lets you configure VLANs.
- VLAN Tab (optional): Available only with the premium license. The VLAN tab helps you
plan your VLAN connections. Use of VLANs lets you assign end devices to network
segments, regardless of where they are located.
- BOM button: The BoM (Bill of Materials) function exports a Microsoft Excel® worksheet
that contains a list of the materials needed to make your network. The BOM only includes
the switches and ports to make the network connections.
- Protection Class: In the Location> Characteristics field, there is a new field that lets
you select the protection class of the device.

New features in Provize® Planner
You can find the following new features in this version.
- Topology Tab: The Topology tab now contains a bar to configure links. To display
the Links bar, click on a link. The Links bar lets you configure the type of
medium used for a connection and the maximum link speed.
- Locations Tab: The Location Tab lets you group devices together according to
geographical location. Grouping the devices makes it easier to locate them
when planning your network. The Location Tab is a dynamic tool that lets you
add and delete devices to your groups as your network changes.
- Export Tab: The Export tab lets you save the device configurations so that
you can load the configuration onto devices in your network. You can save the
device configuration as a Command Line Interface (CLI) file or an AutoConfigurator
Adapter (ACA) file. Both the CLI and ACA export functions save the device
configuration of the selected devices as text files in a zip folder. You can
then use the Load/Save dialog of a device to load a configuration onto a device.

opportunities for improvement. To help us enhance Provize® Planner both for you
and other potential customers, we would appreciate your feedback. If you discover
an issue, or think of an improvement, please open a ticket with our help desk.
This will ensure that your contribution is permanently registered.
Provize® Planner gives you the capability to create a custom network, to modify
the network as needed and to set the properties of the network devices. Provize®
Planner also supports the German language.
Known issues are listed in the issue list which is delivered with the software.
Provize® Planner is currently in an accelerated development phase. We will issue
updates frequently. To be notified when a new update is available, please subscribe
